What We're Looking For
- Around 3–7 years of professional engineering experience within Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering or Software Engineering with a strong data focus.
- You will have experience in hedge funds, Prop Trading, or investment banking working with large financial data sets.
- You'll need strong Python and SQL, good software-engineering fundamentals and experience building reliable production data pipelines.
- You'll be proficient in concepts such as schema design, incremental loading, idempotency and schema evolution, and you'll be comfortable working within structured engineering practices using Git, branching, pull requests and code reviews.
- You'll have experience with LLMs, AI-assisted development or AI-enabled data pipelines.
- Knowledge of Databricks, Delta Lake, Lakehouse/Medallion architectures, Airflow, CI/CD or Terraform would all be valuable
- Passionate about engineering and building products. Engineering-first mindset
- This position suits someone looking for their second or third role and seeking more ownership and responsibility.
