Salary: Scale 3, Point 5-6 Support Staff Pay Spine

FTE £25,159 - £25,558 per annum (pro rata)

Actual Salary: £11,426.78 - £11,608.00 per annum

We are seeking a reliable, proactive and well-organised Study Facility / IT Suite Supervisor to join our support team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with students and helping to maintain calm, productive study spaces where learners can flourish.

About the Role

You will supervise our study facilities and computer drop-in suites, ensuring students have access to a safe, orderly and supportive environment for independent learning. You will act as a visible and approachable presence, supporting students with study space access, computer usage and printing, while promoting positive behaviour and adherence to college policies.

The role also involves working closely with colleagues from IT, MIS, Student Guidance and wider support teams to ensure facilities are effectively managed and students receive the assistance they need.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a calm, orderly and productive study environment.

• Monitor student behaviour and ensure college policies are followed.

• Support students with printing, computer access and study facility queries.

• Regularly patrol study and IT facilities.

• Report concerns and behavioural issues where appropriate.

• Promote student safety and wellbeing.

• Support the college's no smoking and vaping policies.

• Assist with student registration when required.

• Participate in exam invigilation duties as part of the wider college team.

• Help facilitate revision study access during designated holiday periods.

Working Hours

18.5 hours per week

Wednesday 12.30-4.30pm, Thursday and Friday 8.30-4.30pm during term time, plus 2.5 additional days to support student events e.g. results day, revision periods. Some flexibility may be required to support occasional college events.
