Winstanley College is seeking a Media and Film Technician to support our thriving Faculty of Creative and Performing Arts.

Salary: Β£23,618 Point 8 (Β£26,343 per annum, pro rata)

Contract: Term time plus 10 days

Hours: 8.30am – 4.30pm (M-F 5 days)

The role involves providing high-quality technical support across Media, Film Studies and T Level Media and Broadcasting, working in industry-standard facilities including TV studios, editing suites, podcasting studios and performance spaces.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting staff and students with media and film equipment and software
  • Managing the safe storage, maintenance and issuing of equipment
  • Providing in-class technical support and troubleshooting
  • Supporting Winstanley TV, podcasting and film projects
  • Filming and editing content for curriculum, enrichment and assessments
  • Supporting health and safety requirements, including risk assessments

About you: You will be organised, technically confident, and able to work calmly to deadlines. Experience in a similar role and/or within an education setting is desirable. An enhanced DBS check is required.
