Description: Love creating brilliant events and telling the story afterwards? We’re looking for an enthusiastic, creative and highly organised individual to join the team at Winslade Park and Winslade Manor. Set within 86 acres of beautiful Devon parkland just outside Exeter, Winslade is home to everything from intimate private dinners and celebrations to weddings, conferences, corporate events, parties and large-scale events. We’re looking for someone who can help take an event from the very first enquiry through to the finished experience, bringing together all the details that turn a booking into something memorable. This role has an added creative dimension. We also want someone who spots the moments worth capturing: a beautifully dressed room, a chef putting the finishing touches to a dish, guests arriving for a celebration or an event coming to life and can help turn those moments into engaging content to tell the Winslade story.

The Role: Working as part of the Winslade events and hospitality team, you’ll help coordinate a wide variety of events across Winslade Manor, The Forge and the wider Winslade Park estate. These could include:

  • Weddings and wedding celebrations
  • Conferences, seminars and corporate events
  • Private dining, lunches and dinners
  • Parties and family celebrations
  • Awards and networking events
  • Christmas and seasonal celebrations
  • Ticketed and themed events
  • Outdoor events and activities
  • Bespoke private and corporate events

From intimate gatherings at Winslade Manor to large-scale celebrations and conferences at The Forge, no two events are quite the same.

What You’ll Be Doing: Enquiries and bookings - Responding to event enquiries, talking to potential customers about what they’re looking for, arranging visits and viewings, preparing information and helping turn enquiries into confirmed bookings. You’ll be a key point of contact for our customers, building relationships and helping them create an event that meets their needs, ideas and budget.

Creating the event - Working closely with clients and the wider Winslade team to design and coordinate every element of their event, including:

  • Venue and room selection
  • Menus and catering
  • Drinks and bar requirements
  • Music and entertainment
  • Room layouts and table plans
  • Styling and decorations
  • Timings and schedules
  • Suppliers and contractors
  • Guest requirements and special requests

You’ll liaise closely with our chefs, hospitality team and external suppliers to make sure everyone knows what is happening, when and where. Helping ensure events run smoothly on the day, dealing calmly and professionally with last-minute changes and making sure clients and guests receive the standard of experience they expect from Winslade.

The Creative Side: Our events provide some of the best stories and content at Winslade – and we want you to help us capture and share them. Alongside event coordination, you’ll work with our marketing and communications activity to identify opportunities to showcase what is happening across Winslade. That could include:

  • Taking great photographs and short-form video at events
  • Capturing behind-the-scenes preparations and the people who make our events happen
  • Gathering photographs, testimonials and stories from clients
  • Identifying events and stories with PR or media potential
  • Providing content for the Winslade Park and Winslade Manor websites
  • Helping promote upcoming events and demonstrating what Winslade can offer future customers
  • Creating promotional materials for events – designing simple, attractive posters, digital graphics and other promotional assets for bespoke and Winslade-led events, for use across the Winslade Park estate, tenant communications, website, email and social media channels

You don’t need to be a professional photographer, graphic designer or PR specialist, but you should have a good eye for content, understand what works on social media and be comfortable using your phone and simple design tools to create attractive, high-quality content.

About You: We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Warm, confident and great with people
  • Exceptionally organised with strong attention to detail
  • Creative and full of ideas
  • Comfortable managing several events and enquiries at once
  • Commercially minded and confident dealing with customers
  • Calm and practical when plans change
  • Able to work collaboratively with chefs, hospitality colleagues, suppliers and clients
  • Social-media savvy, with an eye for a good photograph, video or story
  • Comfortable creating simple posters and promotional materials
  • Happy to work flexibly, including some evenings and weekends when events require it

Generous staff benefits package including 50% off on-site gym membership and food discounts.
