Coveris is a leading global manufacturer, creating high performance and technically engineered packaging solutions. At our Winsford site, we produce polythene film for a range of established customers across multiple industries including agricultural, industrial, and food based. We are looking for hard-working and motivated individuals to join our production operations teams in our Blown Extrusion department.
The successful candidate will work a 4-on-4 off shift pattern consisting of 2 days, 7am-7pm, 2 nights, 7pm-7am, followed by 4 rest days. Shifts include a paid 1-hour lunch break, and 2x paid 15-minute breaks. In addition to this working pattern, employees are contracted to work an additional 3 x 'summer cover' shifts between 1st June - 30th September each year, which are paid at 1.5x their normal shift rate. The annual salary for this role is £31,175.20. Coveris has a grading system in place with a pay increase for training grades and another pay increase for full grades to recognise and reward development and knowledge and as such, progression is both achievable and encouraged.
The interview process includes both maths and verbal reasoning assessments and the successful candidates will take part in an initial 13-week training period delivered by a dedicated on-site trainer plus one to one training as required.
Key Responsibilities- Responsibility for the production of polythene film products to the required customer specification on production line(s).
- Completion of order and blend changes.
- Carry out and accurately record quality control checks, taking remedial action where required.
- Working to work tickets and job specification sheets, and accurately completing all production-related controlled documents, ensuring compliance to customer requirements and quality standards.
- Ensure finished product packaging is completed to specification and sufficient for customer expectation.
- Maintenance of housekeeping and hygiene standards.
- Completion of duties in a safe and responsible manner and in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.
- Completion of ad-hoc duties to meet the needs of the business, subject to appropriate training.
