Job Purpose
To ensure Production Machinery is maintained & repaired to a high standard to enable maximum production speeds with minimum interruptions and breakdowns. To ensure Maintenance & Service records are maintained. To devise, fabricate, and install improvements to Production Machines.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned maintenance on plant & equipment to a high standard
  • Carry out planned tool changes on the production machinery
  • Respond to breakdowns on Production machines
  • Install and relocate production equipment
  • Complete maintenance records
  • Read Electrical & Mechanical Drawings
  • Carry out Electrical Fault Finding
  • Carry out Mechanical Fault finding
  • Carry out Pneumatic Fault Finding
  • Record work carried out on SAP and handover to other shifts
  • Put in spare parts requests to the engineering manager
  • Liaise with Contractors if required
  • Liaise with other departments such as quality and production
  • Health & Safety: Responsible for self and others
  • Ensure a good working relationship with all Departments
  • Work overtime when required
  • Work Shifts
  • Take responsibility of personal tools and cleanliness during/post maintenance

  • Machine Downtime due to breakdowns
  • Tool changes completed in the designated time scales
  • Response times to machine breakdowns
  • Effectiveness at diagnosis and repair of plant and equipment

  • Experience using and logging data on SAP
  • Experience working in a high speed, high pressure production environment

Physical Demands

  • General: Pace of work, customer demands, multi-tasking

  • Factory/Warehouse/Yard: General health & safety, manual handling (bending, lifting, carrying, twisting)

Working Pattern: Will be a rotation of the following three-shift pattern:

  • Mornings: Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 2:00pm
  • Nights: Monday to Friday, 10:00pm - 6:00am
  • Afters: Monday to Friday, 2:00pm - 10:00pm
