Winsearch UK is proud to partner with a specialist architectural aluminium contractor, who is looking to add an Estimator to their commercial team. My client works across aluminium glazing and façade packages, including curtain walling, windows, doors, shop fronts and wider commercial glazing systems. They operate across design, manufacture and installation, supporting projects from early enquiry through to delivery.

The role is a junior-level Estimator position, but it is not entry level. My client needs someone who already has some experience within structural aluminium. Additional experience with glazing, fenestration, curtain walling, windows and doors, or a similar construction-related environment would also be beneficial. The key requirement is software experience. Applicants must have experience using at least one of the following: LogiKal, Technal, ReynaPro.

The role will be based fully from the office / site as required, so this will not suit someone looking for remote or hybrid working.

What you'll be doing:

  • Assisting with estimates for aluminium glazing and façade packages
  • Working on windows, doors, curtain walling and associated aluminium systems
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender information
  • Carrying out take-offs and quantity checks
  • Supporting pricing, supplier enquiries and quotation preparation
  • Using industry software to support estimating and system pricing
  • Liaising with internal design, manufacturing and project teams
  • Helping ensure quotes are accurate, clear and commercially sensible
  • Supporting the wider estimating team as you continue to develop
  • Data entry from on-the-ground estimations into company software

What my client is looking for:

  • Experience in estimating, pricing, processing or technical support within aluminium glazing, windows, doors, curtain walling or fenestration
  • Experience using LogiKal, Technal or ReynaPro
  • Ability to read drawings or willingness to develop further in this area
  • Good attention to detail
  • Strong numerical skills
  • Organised and reliable approach
  • Good communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and develop within the aluminium / façade sector

The type of person who'll do well:

This would suit someone who is still relatively early in their career, but already has enough industry knowledge to understand aluminium systems and estimating software. You might currently be working as an Estimator, Junior Estimator, Order Processor, Technical Assistant, Design Assistant or similar within an aluminium glazing or fenestration business. My client is not looking for the finished article, but they do need someone who can bring relevant software experience and a solid understanding of the sector.

What's on offer:

  • £30,000 per annum
  • Permanent role
  • Office / site-based position
  • Opportunity to develop within a specialist aluminium contractor
  • Exposure to curtain walling, windows, doors and wider façade packages
  • Supportive team environment with room to progress

If you have experience with LogiKal, Technal or ReynaPro and want to build your estimating career within the aluminium glazing and façade sector, get in touch with Winsearch UK for more information.
