Do you have experience with the assembly and testing of any electro-mechanical equipment? Have you worked within a production, manufacturing or workshop environment before? Can you confidently read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation at any level? Are you hands-on, technically curious and keen to develop your engineering skills further as well as progressing your career with a rapidly growing consultancy and specialist manufacturer within the water industry? If the answers are yes, we are hiring for a Production Technician on behalf of a specialist engineering organisation that designs and manufactures bespoke equipment used on projects around the world.

WHAT YOU NEED

  • Experience assembling mechanical or electro-mechanical systems
  • Ability to read and follow engineering drawings and technical instructions
  • Background within a production, manufacturing or assembly environment
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality standards
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work
  • Good communication skills and ability to work within a team
  • Self-motivated approach with a willingness to learn
  • Experience with testing, fault finding or troubleshooting equipment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with electric motors, rotating equipment or drive systems
  • Knowledge of bearings, seals and mechanical assemblies

Responsibilities include:

  • Assemble and test bespoke electro-mechanical equipment
  • Carry out calibration activities and quality checks
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and work instructions
  • Support fault-finding and troubleshooting activities
  • Work closely with engineering and project teams to deliver equipment on schedule
  • Maintain accurate production records and component traceability
  • Ensure a safe, clean and organised working environment
  • Support equipment installations and service activities when required
  • Assist with stock control and maintenance of calibrated tools and equipment
