Operating from a modern manufacturing facility in Stockport, the business combines advanced CNC machining capability with project engineering expertise, supporting customers with complete manufacturing and tooling solutions from concept through to delivery.

Due to continued growth and a strong order pipeline, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to support new business opportunities and ongoing project delivery.

As Estimator, you will play a key role within the commercial and engineering team, responsible for:

  • Reviewing RFQs
  • Interpreting engineering drawings
  • Producing accurate cost estimates for precision-engineered components, tooling and manufacturing projects

This position requires strong technical understanding of machining and manufacturing processes, combined with commercial awareness and the ability to work closely with customers, suppliers and internal engineering teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Producing accurate machining, tooling and manufacturing cost estimates
  • Calculating material, machining, labour, subcontract and tooling costs
  • Supporting project costing, planning and feasibility assessments
  • Working closely with customers regarding technical and commercial queries
  • Identifying manufacturing risks, opportunities and cost-saving improvements

Previous experience within an Estimator, Costing Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer role is required, along with:

  • Strong understanding of CNC machining and precision engineering processes
  • Aerospace, defence, tooling or subcontract machining experience advantageous
  • Good commercial awareness and attention to detail
  • Experience in multi-axis machining environments
  • Fabrication and assembly costing
  • CAD/CAM exposure

Salary: Β£38,000 - Β£48,000 depending on experience.
