  • Support CNC machine alignment, calibration and geometry checks
  • Strip, repair and rebuild machine tool assemblies and sub-assemblies
  • Assist with machine installations, relocations and commissioning activities
  • Work closely with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime and improve machine reliability
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and support continuous improvement activities
  • Ensure all work is carried out in line with Health & Safety and engineering standards

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Strong understanding of CNC machine tools and manufacturing equipment
  • Mechanical and electrical maintenance experience within precision engineering or manufacturing environments
  • Ability to fault find on CNC machinery and associated control systems
  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, bearings and drive systems
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and electrical schematics
  • Apprentice-trained background preferred
  • Flexible and proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

  • Fanuc, Heidenhain or Siemens controlled machinery
  • CNC machining centres, lathes or multi-axis machines
  • PLC fault finding
  • Machine geometry and alignment work
  • Experience within aerospace, defence or precision engineering sectors

WHAT'S ON OFFER

  • Competitive salary depending on experience
  • Overtime available at premium rates
  • Secure long-term opportunity within a highly respected engineering business
