Winsearch UK is currently working with a leading UK Manufacturer and supplier of high-quality components to the automotive industry to appoint an experienced Secretary with a focus on accurate note taking.

We are seeking an experienced, professional note-taker to provide independent support during formal dismissal appeal hearings. Due to all internal HR team members having been involved in the process to date, we require a neutral individual to attend hearings, take accurate notes, and produce a clear, professional written record.

The Role:

This is a short-term engagement, including attendance at hearings and subsequent transcription and refinement of notes. There may be opportunities for similar ad hoc assignments in the future.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Attend formal dismissal appeal hearings and take accurate, structured notes
  • Capture discussions clearly and impartially, potentially using shorthand
  • Transcribe and type up notes to a professional standard
  • Ensure all documentation is clear, factual, and well-presented
  • Handle highly confidential and sensitive information with discretion

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a secretary, legal secretary, HR administrator, PA, or professional note-taker
  • Strong minute-taking skills; shorthand experience highly desirable
  • Excellent written English and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working with confidential and sensitive information
  • Professional, discreet, and impartial in approach
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
