We are currently recruiting for a Transport Supervisor to join a growing business based in North Lincolnshire. This is a newly created role and a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong transport experience to step into a position where they can make a real impact. The business is continuing to grow and is looking for someone confident, organised and hands-on who can support the smooth running of daily transport operations.
As Transport Supervisor, you will play a key role in overseeing day-to-day transport activity, supporting drivers, managing planning requirements and ensuring the operation runs efficiently, safely and compliantly.
The Role:
- Managing day-to-day transport operations
- Daily transport planning and route scheduling
- Coordinating drivers and ensuring workloads are organised effectively
- Supporting fleet compliance and transport legislation requirements
- Monitoring delivery schedules and resolving operational issues
- Liaising with internal teams, customers and drivers
- Supporting performance, service levels and operational efficiency
- Supervising and supporting the transport team
- Helping to improve processes as the business continues to grow
The Candidate:
We are looking for someone with experience in a busy transport, logistics or distribution environment. You will ideally have experience across:
- Transport planning
- Driver coordination
- Fleet / vehicle compliance
- Route planning and scheduling
- Managing daily operational issues
- Supervising or supporting a transport team
- Working in a fast-paced transport office
A CPC qualification would be advantageous, however strong transport operations experience will also be considered. You will be confident, proactive and able to make decisions in a busy environment. This role would suit someone who enjoys being hands-on, solving problems and keeping transport operations running smoothly.
