Winsearch is proud to partner with an established and respected specialist contractor within the cladding sector, who are looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially capable QS who wants responsibility, autonomy, and close involvement with senior leadership. The role will suit someone who is confident managing their own workload, comfortable working across multiple live projects, and able to take ownership of commercial processes from the office, with site travel when required.

The business specialises in cladding projects and is looking for someone who understands the pace, detail, and commercial demands of specialist construction.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing commercial duties across live cladding projects, working closely with the senior leadership team and supporting the successful commercial delivery of projects.

You will be involved in invoice management, project cost control, commercial reporting, contract administration, and liaison with internal teams, clients, and site teams.

This is an office-based role, so applicants must be comfortable working from the office as their main base. Site travel will be required for project liaison, and you will be trusted to manage your own diary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial duties across live cladding projects
  • Work closely with senior leadership and operational teams
  • Handle invoice management and commercial administration
  • Support project cost control and financial reporting
  • Liaise with site teams, clients, and subcontractors
  • Manage project documentation and commercial records
  • Work with JCT contracts
  • Understand subcontractor arrangements and CIS status requirements
  • Use internal systems for invoice management
  • Manage your own workload and diary
  • Support multiple projects at any one time

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction, ideally from a specialist subcontractor, cladding, facades, or external envelope background.

You should be commercially aware, organised, reliable, and confident working closely with senior stakeholders. This role would suit someone who enjoys responsibility and is comfortable making decisions without needing constant supervision.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction
  • Experience working with JCT contracts
  • Strong understanding of invoices and commercial administration
  • Knowledge of subcontractor processes and CIS status
  • Ability to manage your own workload and diary
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Comfortable working in an office-based role
  • Willingness to travel to site when required

Desirable Experience

  • Cladding, facades, or external envelope experience
  • Specialist subcontractor background
  • Experience working on education projects
  • Experience using Construct or similar invoice/commercial management systems

Package

  • Salary between £50,000 and £60,000 depending on experience
  • 21 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • 3% pension
  • Possible car allowance
  • Fuel card

Working Hours

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:00am - 5:00pm
  • Friday: 8:00am - 4:00pm
