We are currently recruiting for a Production Area Supervisor to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Bradford. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous manufacturing or production supervisory experience to join a stable and growing company that offers long-term development, strong benefits, and a supportive working environment.
The Role
As Production Area Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading and developing a production team to ensure safety, quality, delivery and performance targets are achieved across the department. Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising day-to-day production activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Leading and motivating production staff to maintain efficiency and performance
- Ensuring health & safety procedures, PPE and quality standards are adhered to at all times
- Supporting continuous improvement and lean manufacturing activities
- Delivering shift handovers, toolbox talks and daily reporting
- Monitoring productivity, scrap reduction and operational performance
- Supporting training, onboarding and development of team members
- Assisting with problem solving and troubleshooting production issues
- Working closely with other departments to ensure smooth operational flow
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment
- Supervisory, team leader or senior operator experience preferred
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Office and ERP systems
- Positive, hands-on approach to leadership and problem solving
Working Hours
Monday to Friday - 6:00am to 2:00pm. Overtime is available, although not guaranteed.
Overtime Rates:
- 1.5x during the week
- Weekend overtime paid at 1.75x for the first 5 hours
- 2x thereafter
