We are currently recruiting for a Welder Fabricator to join a busy and well-established manufacturing team in Hull. This role involves cutting, shaping and joining metal components by interpreting technical drawings and applying welding and finishing techniques to a range of materials including stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium.

The successful candidate will be experienced in fabrication and welding, with the ability to work accurately from engineering drawings and produce high-quality finished components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reading & Interpreting Designs: Accurately read and interpret technical drawings and diagrams.
  • Produce fabricated components to required specifications.
  • Material Preparation: Select and prepare the appropriate materials for each task.
  • Identify suitable welding procedures for different materials.
  • Metalworking: Cut, shape and assemble metal components using hand tools and workshop machinery.
  • Work with a variety of metals including stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium.
  • Welding: Join metal parts using welding processes such as TIG and MIG.
  • Produce strong, clean welds that meet quality standards.
  • Quality Control: Inspect finished welds and fabricated components.
  • Use precision measuring equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications.
  • Equipment Operation & Maintenance: Safely operate welding and fabrication equipment.
  • Assist with maintaining and calibrating workshop machinery when required.
  • Finishing: Grind, smooth and polish metal surfaces after welding.
  • Ensure components meet finishing and quality standards.
  • Health & Safety: Follow strict workshop safety procedures.
  • Wear appropriate PPE and maintain a safe working environment.

  • Proven experience as a Welder Fabricator.
