Do you hold a Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installation or an equivalent electrotechnical qualification? Do you have current 18th Edition (BS7671) certification? Do you have hands-on experience installing Solar PV systems across a variety of roof types? Do you hold a full UK driving licence and are you happy to travel across England and Wales? If the answers are yes, we are hiring for a Lead Solar Installer on behalf of a growing renewable energy contractor delivering Solar PV, Battery Storage and Heat Pump projects across the UK.
WHAT YOU NEED
- Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installation or equivalent essential
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification essential
- Experience leading or supervising installation teams within Solar PV, renewable energy or electrical projects
- Strong knowledge of Solar PV installation methods, system components and performance
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, roof layouts and installation specifications
- Confident using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively
- Good understanding of UK electrical regulations and safe working practices
- Strong problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate with customers, suppliers and project stakeholders
- Comfortable working at height and in varying weather conditions
- Full UK driving licence
- Level 3 Solar PV qualification (City & Guilds 2922 or equivalent) desirable
- Previous experience as a Senior or Lead Solar Installer highly desirable

Day To Day...
- Lead installation crews on residential and commercial Solar PV projects
- Plan and organise daily installation activities
- Install solar panels, mounting systems and associated electrical components
- Carry out commissioning activities and quality checks
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and industry standards
- Identify and resolve on-site technical issues
- Liaise with project managers, suppliers and customers throughout project delivery
- Provide guidance, support and training to installation team members
- Complete installation reports and system handover documentation
- Travel to project sites across England and Wales as required
