Do you hold an NVQ Level 3 qualification in Plumbing, Heating or Mechanical Services? Do you have experience installing Air Source or Ground Source Heat Pump systems? Do you hold ACS Gas qualifications and current Gas Safe registration? Do you have a full UK driving licence and are you happy to travel to projects nationwide? If the answers are yes, we are hiring for a Lead Heat Pump Installer on behalf of a growing renewable energy contractor delivering low-carbon heating and renewable energy projects across the UK.

WHAT YOU NEED

  • NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing, Heating or Mechanical Services, or equivalent
  • ACS Gas qualifications and current Gas Safe registration
  • Experience installing Air Source Heat Pumps and/or Ground Source Heat Pumps
  • Strong knowledge of domestic and commercial heating systems
  • Understanding of plumbing, pipework, hydraulic systems and mechanical installations
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, installation specifications and manufacturer instructions
  • Experience using hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Good understanding of health and safety regulations and industry standards
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Strong communication skills with customers, suppliers and site teams
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to travel and work on projects across the UK
  • F-Gas qualification desirable
  • Previous experience leading installation teams highly desirable
  • Renewable heating industry experience advantageous

Day To Day

  • Lead the installation of Air Source and Ground Source Heat Pump systems
  • Carry out site surveys and assess installation requirements
  • Install associated pipework, fittings, controls and mechanical components
  • Prepare installation areas and coordinate works on site
  • Work alongside qualified electrical professionals to complete system connections
  • Commission heat pump systems and ensure efficient operation
  • Complete installation reports and system documentation
  • Diagnose basic faults and support maintenance activities
  • Liaise with project managers, suppliers and customers throughout installations
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on time and to the required quality standards
  • Support and mentor installation team members
  • Travel to project locations across the UK as required
