Winsearch are working in partnership with a leading aerospace manufacturing business to recruit skilled Sheet Metal Workers to support ongoing production and programme demand. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a precision-driven environment where quality is paramount, working on thin gauge aluminium components to exacting aerospace standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture and form sheet metal components in line with engineering drawings and specifications
- Carry out rubber press operations and hand forming techniques
- Profile and finish parts post-forming to required tolerances
- Perform wheeling and shaping of thin gauge aluminium components (majority of workload)
- Ensure all work is completed to high-quality aerospace standards
- Maintain a clean, safe working environment in line with 5S and HSE requirements
- Work closely with production and quality teams to meet delivery targets
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience within an aerospace sheet metal environment
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Hands-on experience with: Rubber press operations, Hand forming, Wheeling, Profiling and finishing formed parts
- Experience working with thin gauge aluminium
- Ability to work to tight tolerances and high-quality standards
- Strong attention to detail and a right-first-time mindset
