We are looking to appoint a Transport Supervisor to support the day-to-day running of a busy Hull transport operation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Transport Planner, Senior Planner or Transport Supervisor looking to join a growing business where they can make a genuine impact and further develop their career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the daily transport operation and ensuring service levels are maintained
  • Coordinating vehicle and driver activity
  • Liaising with drivers, customers and internal departments
  • Monitoring operational performance and resolving issues as they arise
  • Supporting compliance across driver hours, WTD and transport legislation
  • Assisting with planning, resource allocation and operational efficiency
  • Ensuring transport documentation and records are maintained accurately
  • Supporting continuous improvement across the transport function

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience within transport planning, transport operations or transport supervision
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Good understanding of transport compliance and driver management
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Experience using transport planning systems and Microsoft Office
  • Transport Manager CPC qualification desirable, although applications are welcomed from candidates without CPC who can demonstrate strong transport operational experience
