Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer
Location: Huddersfield, West Yorkshire
Shift Pattern: 4on 4off (DAYS ONLY) 8AM-8PM
Salary: Up to £55,000 Dependent on experience
The Role:
- Maintain a safe working environment at all times within our food processing facilities.
- Maximise equipment availability by responding safely and effectively to breakdowns.
- Support the manufacturing process to ensure continuous production.
- Ensure all machinery is maintained and repaired to a high standard.
- Carry out planned, routine, and reactive maintenance and repair work on all equipment.
- Maintain and continuously update technical skills and knowledge.
- Possess a strong multi-skilled background with an electrical bias, with the ability to identify root causes of machine breakdowns and develop long-term engineering solutions.
- Identify potential issues with existing equipment and implement effective solutions.
The Person:
- Multi-skilled with an electrical bias.
- Experience within FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) environments.
- Knowledge of operational standards to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and processes.
- Preferred: 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and Electrical/Mechanical qualifications (ONC/HNC or equivalent).
- Preferred: HACCP, Food Safety, and Hygiene certifications.
