We are looking to appoint a Transport Supervisor to support the day-to-day running of a busy Hull transport operation.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Transport Planner, Senior Planner or Transport Supervisor looking to join a growing business where they can make a genuine impact and further develop their career.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the daily transport operation and ensuring service levels are maintained
- Coordinating vehicle and driver activity
- Liaising with drivers, customers and internal departments
- Monitoring operational performance and resolving issues as they arise
- Supporting compliance across driver hours, WTD and transport legislation
- Assisting with planning, resource allocation and operational efficiency
- Ensuring transport documentation and records are maintained accurately
- Supporting continuous improvement across the transport function
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience within transport planning, transport operations or transport supervision
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Good understanding of transport compliance and driver management
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment
- Experience using transport planning systems and Microsoft Office
- Transport Manager CPC qualification desirable, although applications are welcomed from candidates without CPC who can demonstrate strong transport operational experience
