Winsearch are recruiting on behalf of a well-established composites manufacturer supplying the automotive, aerospace, and motorsport sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or develop a career within high-performance composites manufacturing. You’ll join an experienced team working on tooling and components for prestigious customers across multiple industries. If you’re hands-on, practical, and eager to learn, this could be the ideal first step into the composites industry.
The Role
As a Trainee Laminator, you will receive full training in laminating tooling and components while learning to work from engineering drawings and technical instructions. You’ll support the production team in delivering high-quality composite components, ensuring customer delivery targets are met without compromising quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in laminating tooling and composite components
- Support sealing and releasing of patterns and moulds
- Assist with vacuum bagging of tooling and components
- Support loading and operation of ovens and autoclaves (full training provided)
- Assist with template manufacture and kit cutting of composite materials
- Work to laminating manuals and technical drawings
- Maintain high housekeeping standards in line with 5S and LEAN practices
- Support the team in meeting delivery deadlines while maintaining quality standards
