Our client is a well-established and internationally recognised manufacturing business supplying products into major global markets. With a strong focus on operational excellence, continuous improvement and investment across engineering and manufacturing, they are looking to appoint a Maintenance Planner to support site reliability and engineering performance.
The Maintenance Planner will support the Engineering Manager in ensuring the effective planning, scheduling and coordination of maintenance activities across the manufacturing operation. This role will focus on improving asset reliability, reducing downtime and ensuring engineering activities are aligned with production, safety and operational requirements.
- Develop and manage preventative and predictive maintenance schedules across site equipment and facilities
- Coordinate corrective maintenance activities to ensure equipment downtime is minimised
- Work closely with Engineering, Production and HSE teams to prioritise maintenance activities in line with operational requirements
- Manage work orders, planning activities, spare parts and resource allocation through the CMMS system
- Support contractor management and coordinate external service providers where required
- Track and analyse maintenance KPIs including downtime, reliability and maintenance efficiency
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across maintenance and asset reliability
- Provide maintenance planning input into equipment upgrades and capital projects
- Ensure engineering activities comply with health & safety, environmental and regulatory standards
The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience within a Maintenance Planner, Engineering Planner or Maintenance Coordinator role within manufacturing, industrial or process environments.
- Previous experience using CMMS systems for maintenance planning and scheduling
- Experience coordinating preventative and reactive maintenance activities
- Understanding of engineering, reliability and asset management principles
- Ability to work closely with Production, Engineering and external contractors
- Experience within FMCG, manufacturing, process, chemical or industrial environments would be advantageous
