We are seeking an experienced QSHE Manager to lead Health, Safety, Environmental and Security activities across multiple operational sites within the UK and Ireland. Reporting to the Operations Director and forming part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will drive a positive safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the development and delivery of the organization's HSE&S strategy. This is a multi-site role requiring regular travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and promote a strong HSE&S culture across the business.
  • Ensure compliance with UK health, safety and environmental legislation.
  • Develop and maintain safety management systems, procedures and SOPs.
  • Conduct audits, inspections and risk assessments.
  • Investigate incidents, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage major hazard risk assessment processes including HAZID, HAZOP and HIRA.
  • Support emergency response planning and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Deliver training, coaching and competency development programmes.
  • Monitor safety performance and report on KPIs to senior management.
  • Work closely with operational teams and external regulatory bodies.

The Candidate:

  • Significant experience in Health & Safety management, including occupational and process safety.
  • Background within the chemical, manufacturing or other high-hazard industries.
  • Experience in risk management, incident investigation and regulatory compliance.
  • Knowledge of COMAH, Process Safety Management and UK HSE legislation.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience operating across multiple sites and within a matrix environment.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Degree in Engineering, Chemistry or a Science-related discipline.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable:

  • NEBOSH Diploma.
  • CMIOSH status.
  • COMAH experience.
  • DGSA qualification or ADR knowledge.
