Business Development Advisor Location: Driffield Salary: Up to £26,000 basic + commission | £33,000+ potential OTE Contract: Permanent | Full-time | Do you enjoy picking up the telephone, starting conversations and turning those conversations into genuine business opportunities? I'm recruiting for a Business Development Advisor to join an established East Yorkshire business. This is a proactive, telephone-led position where you will research potential customers, build relationships and help identify new opportunities for the wider sales team. This could suit someone already working in telesales, lead generation or business development who enjoys a target-focused environment and knows that good follow-up is just as important as the first call. The Role You will work closely with sales and marketing colleagues to develop a pipeline of qualified enquiries, manage your own activity and keep prospect information up to date. Responsibilities will include: Contact prospective business customers by telephone and email, introducing the services available. Research companies, sectors and market opportunities to identify potential customers. Build rapport, ask the right questions and understand prospects' requirements. Qualify new enquiries and pass suitable opportunities to the relevant sales colleagues. Manage leads, notes and follow-up actions accurately within the CRM system. Support targeted business development and marketing campaigns. Respond professionally to incoming enquiries and direct them to the right person. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is confident, commercially minded and happy to make proactive calls rather than waiting for the phone to ring. You will need: Previous telesales, lead generation or business development experience with a good telephone manner. A proven ability to build rapport and start conversations with new prospects. Strong follow-up and CRM skills to manage leads and track activity accurately. Good research, communication and organisation skills and a results-focused approach. A full driving licence and access to transport due to the workplace location. Experience working alongside marketing campaigns or qualifying business-to-business enquiries would be beneficial. Why Apply? An opportunity to develop your business development career in a role that combines customer contact, research and commercial relationship building. The advertised package offers a basic salary of up to £26,000 plus commission, with potential on-target earnings of £33,000+. Hybrid working is available, with three office days and two home-working days per week. How to Apply If you are confident on the telephone and enjoy generating new business opportunities, I would like to hear from you.
