The predicted salary is between 16 - 18 £ per hour.
£16.81 to £18.04 per hour
4 day week - 38 hours per week Monday to Thursday, (7am-5pm)
My client who are a leading manufacturer within their field is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector / Welding Inspector to join their team due to continued growth and expansion. This is an ideal role for an experienced Welding Inspector, or an experienced Quality Inspector with NDT experience who is looking to expand their skillset.
Welding Inspector Requirements:- Previous experience of inspection
- Inspection qualifications such as PCN Level 2 or CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector or PCN Level 2 in Penetrant inspector (training provided if you only meet one of the requirements)
- Ability to read and accurately interpret engineering drawings
- Experience of working with steel components
- Proven ability to manage time effectively and working to tight targets and deadlines
- Carry out visual inspection (VT) of welded components to ensure compliance with drawing and quality standards
- Perform Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI/PT) in line with approved procedures and inspection qualifications
- Complete manual dimensional inspection on machined, pressed and fabricated components
- Use hand measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges and bore gauges
- Interpret engineering drawings, weld symbols, tolerances and specifications accurately
- Conduct first off, in-process and final inspections to prevent defects and ensure right-first-time quality
- Identify, segregate and report non-conforming components, raising inspection findings as required
- Record and maintain accurate inspection documentation and traceability for parts and jobs
- Support production and fabrication teams with quality feedback and promote continuous improvement
- Work efficiently to tight deadlines and targets, maintaining good organisation and attention to detail
- Accurately interpret and work from complex engineering drawings to ensure components meet precise specifications and tolerances
- Manage time effectively to meet tight production schedules and project deadlines without compromising on quality
- Maintain a high level of organisation, focus, and attention to detail in all aspects of work to support the company's commitment to precision and excellence
- Participate in ongoing training and development, including attendance at academic courses, to stay updated with industry practices and standards
- 27 days Annual Leave includes bank holidays
- Pension Scheme (after qualifying period of 3 months - employer contribution is 5%)
- Life Insurance after qualifying period – 3 months
