My Client who is a leading manufacturer within their field is seeking an experienced Production Shift Manager to join their team due to continued growth and development. The company are looking for 2 candidates for either an afternoon shift or nightshift fixed shift.
Production Shift Manager Requirements:
- Strong leadership with good interpersonal and people management skills.
- Experience managing a team, ideally within the manufacturing industry.
- Good problem-solving abilities and adaptability.
- Experienced with inputting production data into a CRM.
- Ability to make decisions regarding safety and operational issues.
- Self-motivated with team motivational skills.
- Proactive with minimal supervision needed.
- Experienced within CI (desirable).
Production Shift Manager Duties:
- Open/close the site and carry out daily inspections.
- Arrange, produce, and document shift patterns.
- Plan and communicate work plans effectively to your team.
- Measure performance and ensure cost and quality KPIs are achieved.
- Ensure compliance with company regulations, including working hours, health and safety, and site permitting.
- Manage and flex labour resources as needed.
- Maintain high standards of discipline and cleanliness.
- Provide training, coaching, and support to the team.
- Performance manage staff, including providing motivational leadership and handling disciplinary matters.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures, safe systems of work, and other health and safety requirements.
- Assist with general maintenance of the site and equipment.
- Manage the offloading and loading of vehicles according to the traffic management plan.
- Prepare the site for the receipt of existing, new, and projected volumes of material.
- Ensure permit requirements are met.
