Permanent, Night Shift (4 Nights) Hours & Pay
- Monday - Thursday (4 nights): 19:45 - 06:00
- £18.85 - £21.40 per hour DOE
- Overtime available (midweek and Fridays) paid at 1.5x basic rate after 39 hours
My Client who is a leading manufacturer within their field is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join their Milling Team in Bradford. This is an opportunity to work with advanced CNC machinery, produce high-quality components, and progress within a well-established engineering business.
The Role
- You will set and operate a variety of CNC milling machining centres (both vertical and horizontal), producing precision-engineered components.
- Working with Okuma, Cincinnati, and Haas machines, you will be responsible for ensuring dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and product quality to exacting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and operate CNC machining centres (horizontal twin pallet & vertical)
- Make up tooling and carry out program amendments as required
- Machine steel and cast components to fine tolerances - low volume, high variety work
- Monitor operations, interpret CMM inspection data, and adjust as needed
- Perform precision measurement using micrometers, air gauges, and height gauges
- Log production data, SPC, and inspection results
- Support continuous improvement activities
- Maintain a clean, safe working area and carry out routine maintenance checks
- Operate manual machines (universal mill, manual drill, etc.) as needed
About You
- Experienced in CNC Miller (vertical or horizontal) with confidence in program adjustments
- Skilled in interpreting engineering drawings and working to close geometric tolerances
- Familiar with milling defects, CMM inspection, and SPC principles
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
- Good standard of maths and English
- Physically dextrous, methodical, and safety-conscious
- Open to learning and adapting across different machines
- Able to complete an initial training period on day shift if required
