Do you have hands-on experience supporting production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? Are you confident working with FMEAs, SOPs and process control documentation? Have you delivered process improvements, efficiency or cost reduction projects? Are you comfortable working cross-functionally with production, quality and maintenance teams?
This role has been created to support manufacturing operations, process improvement activity and NPI projects during a busy period of change and investment across the site.
What you NEED...
- HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
- Proven experience in a manufacturing engineering role within a production environment
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles (Kaizen, 5S, Kanban)
- Experience creating and maintaining FMEAs, SOPs, PCPs and related documentation
- CAD experience (Creo or similar 3D CAD systems)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to hit the ground running in a contract environment

Role & responsibilities
- Design and develop assembly and test fixtures to support production needs
- Provide day-to-day manufacturing engineering support to production teams
- Lead and support process improvement and cost reduction initiatives
- Create, update and maintain manufacturing documentation and control plans
- Support NPI and prototype builds within agreed timescales
- Specify and support implementation of new equipment and tooling
- Work closely with quality, maintenance and production to resolve issues
- Support layout changes and lean cell development as processes evolve
