Are you looking for a hands‑on role where no two days are the same? We are recruiting for a Manufacturing Operative with FLT to join a specialist manufacturing business in Hull. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with manufacturing, production, warehouse or industrial experience who enjoys practical work and wants to develop new skills in a unique production environment. No previous experience with the company's machinery is required as full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Operate production plant and process equipment
  • Monitor production performance and record operational data
  • Prepare and complete production batches
  • Carry out quality and process checks
  • Palletise and move finished products and raw materials
  • Support housekeeping and continuous improvement activities
  • Follow all health, safety, environmental and quality procedures
  • Work flexibly across different production areas as required

May also have opportunity to train and operate equipment such as:

  • Counterbalance Forklift Trucks
  • Overhead Cranes
  • Loading Shovels
  • Excavators
  • Pallet Trucks

Shift Pattern

This position operates on a rotating 3‑week shift cycle consisting of both days and nights.

  • Week 1 – 2 Day Shifts, 2 Night Shifts
  • Week 2 – 3 Day Shifts
  • Week 3 – 3 Night Shifts

Day Shift: 6:30 am – 6:30 pm
Night Shift: 6:30 pm – 6:30 am
Average of 40 hours per week. The pattern repeats every three weeks.

  • Previous experience within a manufacturing, production, warehouse or industrial environment
  • Comfortable working in a physically demanding role
  • Strong awareness of health and safety
  • Reliable and adaptable approach to work
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn new processes and operate a variety of equipment

Desirable

  • Counterbalance Forklift Licence
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
