About the Role
As a Composite Fitter, you will play a key role in producing precision-engineered composite assemblies that meet exacting quality standards. Working from engineering drawings and work instructions, you’ll carry out fitting, shaping, trimming, bonding, and assembly of a wide range of components.
You will:
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and work instructions.
- Trim, shape and fit composite parts using hand and power tools.
- Bond composite components using adhesives, resins and specialist materials.
- Assemble parts in the correct sequence to ensure alignment, fit and finish.
- Conduct visual inspections and identify defects or deviations.
- Follow established quality procedures and health & safety standards.
- Work closely with the Fitting Team Lead and Engineering teams to resolve challenges and support continuous improvement.
- Maintain an organised, safe working area and proper material/tool controls.
- Accurately record fitting and assembly activities.
- Take responsibility for continually developing your composites knowledge.
About You
We’re looking for someone who brings:
- At least 2 years' proven experience in composite fitting.
- Strong background in trimming, bonding, assembly and fitting of components for Motorsport, Automotive or Aerospace.
- Confident use of hand tools, power tools and air tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills at all levels.
