Winsearch is working with a well-established manufacturer in Ashton-under-Lyne to recruit an experienced Punch Press Operator for their production team. This is a great opportunity for someone with CNC punch press experience who is looking for a stable, long-term role with a company that continues to invest in its people, equipment, and manufacturing capabilities.
The Role
- Setting and operating CNC punch press machines
- Loading, changing, and adjusting tooling
- Working from engineering drawings and production paperwork
- Monitoring machine performance and output quality
- Carrying out routine machine checks and basic troubleshooting
- Recording production and quality information accurately
- Maintaining a safe and organised work area
- Following company health, safety, and quality procedures
Candidates with experience operating Trumpf or Salvagnini machinery will be particularly of interest.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience operating CNC punch press equipment
- A background in sheet metal or manufacturing environments
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
- A strong awareness of health and safety requirements
- Reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team
Advantageous Experience
- Trumpf and/or Salvagnini machine experience
- CNC programming and machine set-up knowledge
- FLT or overhead crane licences
- Exposure to lean manufacturing techniques
