We are seeking a dedicated Family Solicitor (3–5 years’ PQE) with strong Legal Aid experience to join our established, community-focused firm. This is an exceptional opportunity for a solicitor who wants meaningful responsibility, a supportive environment, and a genuine pathway into firm leadership.
The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload, contribute to departmental development, and—if they wish—step directly into a Director/Shareholder role.
Key Responsibilities- Handling a full range of Family Law matters, including public and private children work, domestic abuse, care proceedings, and Legal Aid cases
- Conducting advocacy where appropriate
- Ensuring compliance with Legal Aid Agency requirements and maintaining excellent file management
- Supervising junior staff and supporting team development
- Participating in firm-wide management and strategic planning (for those seeking Director/Shareholder status)
- 3–5 years’ PQE as a practising solicitor
- Strong background in Family Legal Aid
- Confident, organised, and able to manage a busy caseload independently
- Solid management and leadership skills, or a clear desire to develop them
- A calm, client‑centred approach with excellent communication
