About the Role
To support the effective coordination and delivery of quality assurance and continuous improvement activities across the organisation’s training programmes.
The role ensures that programmes meet internal standards, contractual requirements, awarding body expectations, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement
- Coordinate quality assurance activities across all training provision.
- Support the development, and implementation of the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
- Coordinate 1‑1 meetings with apprenticeship Tutors, internal quality reviews, audits, and sampling activities.
- Monitor and support curriculum and assessor teams to maintain consistent quality standards.
- Data Collection & Reporting
- Collect, review and analyse performance and compliance data (e. g., achievement, retention, attendance, progress, EPA readiness) and report to Quality Director.
- Prepare regular quality reports for senior management and stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate quality records and documentation.
- Self‑Assessment & Evaluation
- Support the development of the Self‑Assessment Report (SAR), ensuring evidence is current, accurate, and reflective of provision.
- Coordinate evidence collection and impact monitoring for improvements identified in the SAR.
- Compliance & Standards
- Monitor compliance with contractual, regulatory, and funding requirements (e. g., ESFA, awarding bodies, frameworks).
- Assist in preparing for external inspections.
- Support to Teams
- Provide proactive support to Tutors, and managers on quality expectations and best practice.
- Assist in planning and facilitating standardisation activities and briefings.
- Promote a culture of quality improvement across the business.
- Learner & Employer Feedback
- Coordinate learner, apprentice, and employer voice activities (surveys, focus groups, feedback channels).
- Report quality actions that improve learner and employer experiences to the Quality Director.
- Documentation & Administration
- Maintain quality systems, trackers, action logs, and audit trails.
- Produce minutes, action points, and follow‑up communications from standardisation and quality meetings.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience working in quality/assurance roles within a training or education setting.
- Understanding of quality improvement processes and best practice in training and assessment.
- Knowledge of funding and contractual compliance.
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
- Excellent organisational and administrative capability.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong IT skills, including MS Office and quality/data systems.
- Experience supporting inspections, external audits, or verifications.
- Qualification in education, quality assurance, or management (e. g., ILM, CQI).
- Familiarity with apprenticeship standards and EPA processes.
- Personal Qualities
- Attention to detail: Accurate preparation and review of quality documents.
- Team collaboration: Works well with trainers, assessors, managers, and support staff.
- Problem‑solving: Identifies risks and supports improvements proactively.
