Following a structured training period, the Deputy Claims Adjuster will play a key role in supporting the management of aviation insurance claims. The successful candidate will be involved in assessing new claim notifications and coordinating with loss adjusters, legal representatives, brokers, and other third parties involved in the claims process. Some overseas travel may be required.
This role requires strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and clear written communication skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple cases and maintain accurate reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Review and assess new claims notifications following an initial training period, contributing to decisions regarding claim handling strategy.
- Assist in the management of aviation claims within the general aviation sector on behalf of insurance clients.
- Instruct and coordinate with external specialists, including loss adjusters, surveyors, and legal representatives where required.
- Maintain an organised claims diary to ensure timely follow-up, reporting deadlines, and progress tracking.
- Prepare clear written reports and updates for insurer clients.
- Liaise with key stakeholders involved in the claims process, including brokers, policyholders, and external agents.
- Correspond with third-party organisations acting on behalf of policyholders to support efficient claims resolution.
- Ensure all claims are handled professionally, accurately, and in accordance with company procedures and client requirements.
- Minimum of three A-Levels at grade C or above.
- University degree in any discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain organised records.
- Strongly Preferred: Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, or Law.
- Salary: In the region of £25,000 per annum (depending on experience).
