WINNER Recruitment are proud to be working with a well-established, family-owned and eco-conscious commercial cleaning business that continues to grow across the South West. Due to ongoing success, they are now seeking an experienced and commercially driven Operations Manager to oversee a portfolio of commercial cleaning contracts worth approximately £1.5 million annually.
This is far more than a standard supervisory position. The business is looking for a hands-on operational leader who can successfully manage multi-site cleaning operations, build strong client relationships, drive service standards, and identify opportunities for growth across existing accounts.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Operations Director and Senior Account Managers, you will take full responsibility for the operational performance, staffing, compliance, and profitability of multiple commercial cleaning contracts across the region. You will oversee teams of cleaners, supervisors, and support staff while ensuring exceptional service delivery and client satisfaction at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day delivery of multiple commercial cleaning contracts
- Ensure all sites consistently meet company and client standards
- Conduct regular site inspections, quality audits, and performance reviews
- Manage staffing levels, rota planning, and operational coverage
- Support recruitment, onboarding, inductions, and training of cleaning operatives
- Lead and motivate teams of up to 90 mobile cleaners during peak periods
- Drive accountability and continuous improvement across all sites
- Monitor and manage KPIs and SLAs across the portfolio
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships
- Attend client meetings and site visits
- Resolve escalations and operational issues professionally and efficiently
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and contract retention
Commercial & Financial Responsibility
- Manage labour costs and operational efficiencies
- Monitor site profitability and overall contract performance
- Identify upselling opportunities across existing accounts
- Contribute to business growth through service expansion
Commission Structure
Earn 10% commission on all successful upsales. Strong opportunity to significantly increase earnings through account growth.
