Job Opportunity: Field Service Engineer (Generators)
Location: Central Region (covering London and the inner M25)
A leading service provider is seeking a skilled and experienced Field Service Engineer to maintain and repair generator machinery across the region. This role offers an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team, with great benefits and career progression for the right candidate.
Role Overview:
You will play a critical role in ensuring generator machinery operates at peak performance through scheduled maintenance, repairs, and inspections. Experience with JCB Plant and Construction machinery would be advantageous but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct mechanical and electrical fault finding, repairs, and servicing of generators and associated equipment.
- Work in both workshop and onsite environments, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Perform inspections and ensure all work adheres to safety and compliance standards.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers and provide high-quality service.
- Accurately complete paperwork, including timesheets, in a timely manner.
- Promote health and safety best practices for yourself and others.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with generators.
- Solid understanding of engines, alternators, control panels, and wiring diagrams.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently or in a team.
- Mechanical and electrical qualifications.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Proficiency in MS Office and excellent communication skills.
- Flexibility and efficiency in handling varied tasks.
Additional Skills (Desirable):
- Experience servicing JCB machinery.
