We are seeking a skilled and reliable Fire Stopper to join our team on a permanent basis. The role will involve carrying out high-quality fire stopping works across sites throughout the East and West Midlands, ensuring full compliance with fire safety regulations and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain fire stopping systems in accordance with approved specifications and manufacturer guidelines
- Carry out fire sealing to service penetrations, including pipes, cables, ducts, and trunking
- Install fire barriers, fire batts, fire mastic, intumescent products, and collars
- Read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications
- Ensure all works meet current fire safety regulations and building standards
- Complete work to a high standard within agreed timescales
- Accurately record completed works, including photographic evidence and reports where required
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant working environment
- Liaise professionally with site managers, clients, and other trades on site
Requirements:
- Proven experience in fire stopping works
- Strong knowledge of passive fire protection systems and regulations
- Ability to work independently and manage workload across multiple sites
- CSCS card (essential)
- NVQ Level 2 in Passive Fire Protection or equivalent (preferred)
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
