We are currently recruiting for a BYSTRONIC laser operator for an immediate start. This will be a temporary - permanent role for one of our clients based in the Tipton area, working for a well-established manufacturing company. You will be working on an afternoon shift from 2.00pm to 10.00pm. However, whilst you are training, you will need to be on the set day shift from 6.00am to 2.00pm, which could take 4-6 weeks.

Day to day duties:

  • Operating and setting the laser cutting machine
  • Working to set targets and KPIs
  • Understanding and following written and verbal instructions for specific requirements on orders
  • Quality checking all components and parts
  • General maintenance and running of the machines

Skills and experience:

  • You must have a minimum of 3 years experience in Bystronic laser operating
  • You will need to have experience working with lasers
  • Setting and operating a high specification laser cutting machine
  • Ability to follow work instructions and standard procedures
  • Organisation of internal paperwork
  • You will need positive interpersonal skills
  • You must have good attention to detail and quality for this role
  • Experience of using Byhand, Trumpf, LVD, Armada, Mazak and Prima lasers would be advantageous

Pay rate is £14.75ph with a shift allowance per week of £40.00 when working on the afternoon shift. Please apply online in the first instance.
