Location: Wakefield
Rate: £17ph for first 8 hours, £21ph after 8 hours
Hours: Between 4am and 6am starts, average 16 hour shifts but can be less or more depending on traffic and the run. Long distance work, can pick each week what days you want to work, client works 7 days a week. Can do weekends only if wanted.
Contract: Ongoing work or 12 week temp to perm if wanted.
We are currently recruiting an experienced Class 2 (Category C) Driver for double tacho work. This role is ideal for drivers who are flexible, reliable, and comfortable working in a two-man driving operation.
Key Responsibilities:- Driving a Class 2 vehicle as part of a double-manned crew
- Sharing driving duties in line with EU Drivers’ Hours regulations
- Ensuring accurate use of tachographs and compliance at all times
- Completing vehicle checks and defect reporting
- Safe, professional delivery of goods
- Maintaining high standards of customer service
- Valid Class 2 (Cat C) licence
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous experience with double tacho work is preferred but not essential
- Good knowledge of drivers’ hours and working time regulations
- Reliable, professional, and safety-focused approach
- Good communication and teamwork skills
