Are you an experienced Exams Officer looking for new opportunities in Birmingham? Winner Education are seeking a diligent and organised Exams Officer to join a fantastic secondary school in the Erdington area of Birmingham. This is a temporary, full-time position (part-time considered for the right person), ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to ensuring smooth and compliant examination processes in a busy school environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the administration and invigilation of internal and external examinations in line with JCQ regulations.
- Liaise with awarding bodies to manage entries, amendments, and special consideration requests.
- Coordinate exam timetables, room allocations, and invigilator rotas.
- Support pupils with access arrangements and ensure all reasonable adjustments are in place.
- Maintain accurate records and produce reports for SLT on examination outcomes and compliance.
The successful Exams Officer will have:
- Previous experience in an exams officer or school administration role (previously used SIMS Nova-T6).
- A thorough understanding of JCQ regulations and examination procedures.
- DBS on the update service.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
- An understanding of safeguarding and child protection (training can be provided).
