Welder
to join a well-established manufacturing business based in
Hoyland, Barnsley . This is a permanent opportunity offering a strong basic salary, regular overtime, bonus payments and excellent benefits, with genuine opportunities for progression and increased earnings. The Role
As a Welder, you will be responsible for the
MIG welding and fabrication of mild steel components , working to high quality standards within a busy manufacturing environment. You will also have the opportunity to work with
automated plasma and seam welding equipment . Key Responsibilities
MIG welding and fabrication of mild steel components
Manufacturing repetitive components using jigs and assembly fixtures
Working to specified quality and workmanship standards
Operating automated plasma and seam welding equipment
Maintaining a high standard of work within a manufacturing environment
Working as part of a team to meet production requirements
About You
The ideal candidate will have: Previous experience in
fabrication and welding
Strong MIG welding experience
Experience using
jigs and assembly fixtures
The ability to produce consistent, high-quality work
Experience working within a manufacturing environment
A good understanding of welding and fabrication processes
TIG welding experience is desirable but
not essential
Working Hours Day Shift
Monday – Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
Friday: 7:30am – 1:30pm
Regular structured overtime available. Rotating Shift
Monday – Thursday: 6:00am – 2:00pm / 2:00pm – 10:00pm
Friday: 6:00am – 11:30am / 11:30am – 5:00pm
Shift premium of 1.15x applies to both shifts. Pay & Overtime
£16.13 – £16.78 per hour
Guaranteed minimum weekly bonus of
£50
Overtime at enhanced rates: £24.20 per hour
– Level A overtime
£32.26 per hour
– Level B overtime
Additional monthly business performance bonus averaging around
£280–£350
OTE of approximately
£36,150 – £41,060 per year
