We’re seeking an experienced Site Manager to support the delivery of a distribution centre project in Nottingham on a temporary basis (2–3 months). This role will focus on supervising the Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) contractor on-site and ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.

The Role

As the Site Manager, you’ll be responsible for day-to-day site management, coordinating M&E activities, and ensuring compliance with all safety and quality procedures. You’ll report directly to the Project Manager, providing regular site updates, progress reports, and key information to keep the project running smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the on-site M&E contractor
  • Carry out regular site inspections to ensure safety, quality, and progress standards are met
  • Produce accurate site reports for the Project Manager
  • Coordinate and monitor subcontractor performance
  • Ensure works are delivered in line with project specifications and schedules
  • Maintain strong communication between site teams, suppliers, and stakeholders

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager on construction or M&E-led projects
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Excellent organisational and reporting skills
  • SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications preferred
  • Ability to work independently and manage contractors effectively
