Salary: £33,000 – £34,000 per year (pro-rata)

Winner Recruitment is working with a leading national logistics and parcel distribution organisation to recruit an experienced Operations Supervisor. This role sits directly under the Shift Manager and is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment and enjoys leading from the front. You'll play a key part in running the daytime operation, supporting staff on the floor, maintaining service levels, and ensuring processes are followed correctly throughout the day.
The Role
As Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for supporting the Shift Manager with day-to-day warehouse and transport activities. You will oversee a team of operatives, ensure all tasks are completed safely and efficiently, and maintain high standards across the entire shift. This is a hands-on role requiring strong communication skills, excellent organisation, and the ability to guide a team through a busy operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Shift Manager with running the operational plan for the day
- Supervise warehouse operatives and ensure tasks are completed to standard
- Oversee loading, unloading, scanning, and freight processing
- Monitor team performance and escalate any issues to the Shift Manager
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, site security, and company procedures
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
- Help manage attendance, holidays, and return-to-work processes where required
- Assist with staff briefings and ensure key information is communicated clearly
- Check all operational documentation, PODs, and system entries for accuracy
- Support with problem-solving, customer queries, and load planning
- Act as a key point of contact for team members during the shift
About You

- Experience in a supervisory role within logistics, parcels, warehousing, or a similar environment
- Strong people skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and support a team
- Good understanding of operational processes and warehouse systems
