Salary: £34,000 + Company Van & Fuel Card

Our client, a leading contractor within the social housing sector, is currently recruiting for an experienced Plumber Multi Trade Operative to join their growing repairs and maintenance team. This role is ideal for a qualified plumber with broad maintenance experience who can deliver high-quality repairs and excellent customer service within occupied and void social housing properties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out responsive repairs and planned maintenance works
  • Working within occupied and void social housing properties
  • Completing a variety of plumbing repairs and installations including:
    • Tap, toilet, and basin repairs
    • Shower repairs and replacements
    • Leak detection and rectification
    • Pipework repairs and alterations
    • Cylinder and water system maintenance
    • Waste and drainage repairs
  • Undertaking additional multi-trade duties including:
    • Basic carpentry repairs
    • Patch plastering
    • Tiling repairs and replacements
    • Painting and decorating touch-ups
    • General property maintenance
  • Diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently to a high standard
  • Ensuring all works are completed within agreed service level agreements
  • Delivering excellent customer service while working in tenants' homes
  • Accurately completing job sheets and updating works via PDA/tablet systems
  • Following all health and safety procedures

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Plumber Multi Trader within social housing, repairs, or maintenance
  • Strong plumbing background with multi-trade repair experience
  • Experience working within occupied properties
  • Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
  • Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Own tools (preferred unless otherwise supplied)

Desirable

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing or equivalent qualification
  • Experience using PDA systems for job management
  • Previous social housing or local authority contractor experience
