Are you a highly skilled Legionella Risk Assessor looking for your next career move? As part of this exciting opportunity, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality UKAS-accredited Legionella risk assessments and additional water hygiene services to a diverse range of clients, including healthcare, local authorities, education, housing associations, leisure and hospitality, and charities properties across Birmingham (Covering West Midlands, home counties & South West).

Key Responsibilities:- As a Legionella Risk Assessor, you will carry out comprehensive Legionella risk assessments across a variety of sites. You’ll be identifying potential risks in water systems, recommending control measures, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- You will produce accurate site schematics, ranging from simple storage diagrams to detailed distribution system drawings. You will annotate diagrams on-site and later draft them using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software.
- In addition to Legionella assessments, you’ll also perform scalding and burning risk assessments and full engineering assessments depending on the scope of each contract.
- You will work closely with clients to arrange site visits, organize induction training, and provide necessary site guides. You’ll manage the smooth delivery of assessments from start to finish.
- As a Legionella Risk Assessor, you will liaise with the Project Manager to ensure timely project mobilisation, ensuring all necessary documentation and resources are in place for a successful site assessment.
- You will follow your personal CPD roadmap to continue developing your skills. You’ll also mentor and support your colleagues, helping to build the expertise of the wider team.
- Keep up to date with the latest regulations and best practices related to Legionella risk assessment to ensure that all your work is in line with current industry standards and safety guidelines.
- You must hold relevant qualifications within Legionella & risk assessing e.g. COSHH, ACoP L8, HSG274 parts 1-3, S/HTM04-01.
- Strong knowledge of Legionella risk assessments and water hygiene.
- Experience in creating site schematics and using CAD software.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to water hygiene and Legionella control.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise with clients and team members effectively.
- A proactive and detail-oriented approach to risk assessment and project delivery.
