We are seeking an experienced Industrial Wet Painter to join our client's team in a fast-paced production environment. This role involves applying high-quality industrial paint finishes to a diverse range of products, from small valves through to 40' containers. You will be required to work both independently and as part of a team while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Prepare components for painting, including cleaning, masking, and general surface preparation
- Mix paints accurately to the ratios specified in technical data sheets
- Apply industrial coatings in accordance with job specifications and quality requirements
- Operate a range of spray equipment, including airless, air-assisted, and conventional spray guns
- Inspect finished work to ensure compliance with coating specifications
- Complete all required job documentation and paint reports
- Work alongside in-house NACE inspectors during inspection and quality control processes
- Safely operate cranes to move and position components (license desirable but not essential)
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area
- Rotate between painting booths and areas as required by production demands
- Follow all health, safety, and company procedures at all times
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in industrial wet painting or a similar coatings role
- Good understanding of surface preparation, paint mixing, and application techniques
- Ability to read and follow technical data sheets and job specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finishes
- Experience using cranes (advantageous but not mandatory)
- Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
