Class 1 Walking Floor Driver
Location: Tilbury
Pay Rate: £19.05 – £20.17 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time / Temporary / Ongoing Opportunities Available
- 1-2 day drivers (Mon-Fri)
- 1 Tramper (Mon-Fri)
- 1 Tramper (Tue-Sat)
- Early afternoon drivers x 2 (1300-1900)
- 1 day driver (Thu-Sat)
We are currently recruiting experienced Class 1 (HGV Class 1 / C+E) Walking Floor Drivers to join our growing transport operation based in Tilbury. This is an excellent opportunity for professional drivers looking for consistent work, competitive rates of pay, and long-term opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate Class 1 Walking Floor vehicles across planned routes
- Complete daily vehicle checks and defect reporting procedures
- Deliver and collect loads efficiently while maintaining excellent safety standards
- Ensure compliance with tachograph, driving hours, and transport legislation
- Complete all relevant paperwork and delivery documentation accurately
- Maintain high standards of professionalism when representing the business
Requirements:
- Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Licence
- Previous Walking Floor experience preferred
- Valid CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
- Good understanding of driver regulations and road transport legislation
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and xgikmsk professional attitude
