Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Gatehouse Coordinator based in Nuneaton, CV10. Working 5 out of 7 shifts on days which typically runs 14:00-22:00.
Your purpose
Based at either the Inbound or Outbound Gatehouse you will use the Yard Management System to book in trailers or book out trailers. You will also assist in maintaining the accuracy of the Yard.
You will be accountable for:
- Booking trailers into the Hub using the Yard Management System.
- Undertaking full yard checks in line with the required standards and at the required intervals whilst on shift.
- Managing queries from Shunters regarding trailers in the Yard Directing trailers to and from the correct bays.
- Logging any damage to vehicles and liaising with the Transport Shift Managers.
- Monitoring all yard movements and bringing any discrepancies or problems to the Yard Controllers attention.
Essential Skills & Experience Required:
- Must be able to work on own initiative in a pressurised environment
- Be able to use internal systems and equipment
- Basic computer/Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential
