We are looking to attract and secure multipleField Service Engineersto join a global OEM, specialising in the service, maintenance, and repair ofreciprocating compressors. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with mechanical systems in industrial environments, particularly with rotating equipment, and be willing to travel across the UK with occasional international assignments.
- Perform installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of reciprocating compressors and associated systems.
- Carry out mechanical overhauls, component replacements, valve servicing, and alignment of compressor systems.
- Conduct site surveys and diagnostics to determine equipment condition and recommend remedial actions.
- Prepare detailed service reports, documentation, and customer feedback summaries.
- Liaise with clients on-site to ensure high-quality service delivery and technical support.
- Support root cause analysis (RCA) and reliability improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) policies and client safety standards.
- Maintain service tools, equipment, and vehicle in good operational condition.
- Mechanical Engineering qualification (apprenticeship, HNC, HND or equivalent).
- Proven experience working with reciprocating compressors (e.g. Ariel, Howden, Ingersoll Rand, or similar).
- Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the UK and occasionally abroad.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Experience with gas compression or petrochemical industry equipment.
- OEM training or certifications on reciprocating compressors.
- Familiarity with vibration analysis or condition monitoring tools.
- Offshore or COMPEX certification.
